7 questions
How do I place an order with Polygon Peptides?

Simply browse our product catalogue, add items to your cart, and proceed through checkout. You will need to create an account and confirm that the products are being purchased strictly for legitimate in-vitro or laboratory research purposes only. All orders are subject to our terms and conditions.

Note: By placing an order you confirm that products are purchased strictly for legitimate in-vitro or laboratory research purposes only.
What are your shipping options and delivery times?

All orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 24, with delivery typically expected the next working day after dispatch. Orders placed before 1pm GMT on working days are typically processed the same day.

All peptide vials are sent in cardboard cases within bubble envelopes. As our peptides are supplied in lyophilised (freeze-dried) form, they are stable at ambient temperatures during transit and do not require cold-chain packaging.

How is my order packaged?

All peptides are supplied in clearly labelled, research-grade vials in lyophilised (freeze-dried) form. Vials are packed in cardboard cases and shipped in bubble envelopes. As lyophilised peptides are stable at ambient temperatures, no specialist cold-chain packaging is required. Orders are sent in plain, discreet outer packaging with no branding visible externally.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a direct link to the courier's tracking page. You can also log into your Polygon Peptides account and view live order status under "My Orders".

What happens if my order is lost or damaged in transit?

In the rare event that your order is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us at info@polygonpeptides.co.uk. Provide your order number and, where applicable, photographic evidence of damage. We will investigate promptly and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is £4.99 on all orders. Orders over £100 qualify for free shipping, applied automatically at checkout. There is no minimum order value.

Product & Safety Information

6 questions
What purity levels do your peptides reach?

All Polygon Peptides products are manufactured to a minimum purity of >99% as verified by HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and Mass Spectrometry (MS). Certificate of Analysis (CoA) documents are available for every batch and can be downloaded directly from each product page.

Are your products tested by a third-party laboratory?

Yes. All products undergo rigorous independent third-party testing at accredited UK laboratories prior to being listed for sale. Testing includes HPLC purity analysis, mass spectrometry confirmation of molecular weight, and microbiological safety screening where applicable. Full CoA reports are available on request.

Are Polygon Peptides products intended for human use?
Important: All products sold by Polygon Peptides are strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research purposes only. They are NOT intended for human or veterinary use, food, drug, or cosmetic applications.

Our peptides are research chemicals and are sold exclusively for legitimate research use. Any use outside of a research context is strictly prohibited and is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

What solvents should I use to reconstitute lyophilised peptides?

Reconstitution guidelines vary by peptide. General recommendations include:

  • Bacteriostatic water (BW) for most standard peptides
  • Sterile water or PBS for short-term use
  • Dilute acetic acid (0.1%) for hydrophobic peptides
  • DMSO for highly hydrophobic sequences (use with caution)

Always refer to the product-specific datasheet included with your order or available on the product page. We recommend reconstituting slowly and avoiding vigorous shaking.

What safety precautions should I take when handling peptides?

All handling must be performed by trained personnel in a suitably equipped laboratory. Standard precautions include:

  • Wear appropriate PPE: nitrile gloves, lab coat, and safety goggles
  • Work in a well-ventilated area or fume hood where appropriate
  • Avoid inhalation of powders during reconstitution
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with your institution's biohazard protocols
How do I obtain a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for a product?

Certificates of Analysis are available directly on each product page — simply click "Download CoA" and select the relevant batch number. If you require a CoA for a specific batch not listed online, or for an older order, please contact us at info@polygonpeptides.co.uk quoting your order number.

Legal & Compliance (UK)

5 questions
Are research peptides legal to purchase in the UK?

The legality of research peptides in the UK depends on the specific compound. Many peptides are not controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and are legal to purchase for legitimate research purposes. However, the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 and other legislation may apply to certain compounds.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to verify the legal status of any compound in their jurisdiction before purchasing. Polygon Peptides does not provide legal advice and we recommend consulting a legal professional if you are unsure.

Polygon Peptides complies fully with all applicable UK laws and will not knowingly supply substances to individuals intending to use them for illegal purposes.
Do I need any qualifications or licences to purchase from you?

No formal qualifications or licences are required to place an order with Polygon Peptides. Our products are available to individuals, researchers, and organisations who intend to use them strictly for legitimate research purposes.

By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are acquiring our products for lawful research use only. Polygon Peptides reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

How does Polygon Peptides handle my personal data under UK GDPR?

Storage & Handling

4 questions
How should I store lyophilised peptides upon receipt?

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored as follows:

  • Short-term (up to 3 months) Refrigerate at 2–8°C, away from light and moisture
  • Long-term (>3 months) Store at –20°C or below in a sealed container

Always allow vials to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to prevent moisture condensation. Keep away from heat sources and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles where possible.

How should reconstituted peptide solutions be stored?

Once reconstituted, peptide solutions are significantly less stable than lyophilised powder. General guidelines:

  • Store at 2–8°C if using within 28 days
  • For longer storage, aliquot into single-use volumes and store at –20°C
  • Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles as these can degrade peptide integrity
  • Protect from light, especially for fluorescently labelled peptides

Refer to the product-specific datasheet for peptide-specific stability data.

My peptide arrived at room temperature — is it still viable?

Lyophilised peptides are generally stable at ambient temperature for several days during transit. As long as the vial is intact, sealed, and shows no visible discolouration or signs of moisture ingress, the product should remain within specification.

If you have any concerns about a product's integrity upon arrival, please contact us at info@polygonpeptides.co.uk before use and we will advise accordingly.

How should I dispose of unused peptides and waste?

Disposal must comply with your institution's chemical waste management procedures and relevant UK regulations, including the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005. Generally:

  • Dispose of as chemical/laboratory waste through an authorised waste contractor
  • Do not pour peptide solutions down the drain unless confirmed safe to do so
  • Inactivate biological materials where applicable before disposal
