Epithalon (also known as Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, derived from the naturally occurring polypeptide Epithalamin produced by the pineal gland. Research has focused on its ability to activate telomerase, an enzyme involved in telomere elongation, making it of significant interest in cellular ageing and longevity studies.
