KPV is a C-terminal tripeptide derived from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been studied in preclinical models for its anti-inflammatory properties, including its studied interactions with NF-κB signalling pathways and intestinal epithelial inflammation models.
